A Safe and Natural-Looking Solution for Missing Teeth
What is a Dental Implant?
Dental
implants are titanium screws that are
surgically placed into the jawbone to replace missing teeth. These screws serve
as artificial roots, onto which dental prostheses (such as crowns or bridges)
are securely attached.
The
main advantage of dental implants is that they
do not harm neighboring teeth—unlike traditional bridges, which
require adjacent teeth to be filed down. Implants offer a natural feeling when
eating, speaking, or smiling—just like your original teeth.
Why Choose Implants?
- Preserve surrounding teeth
- Offer strong, stable support for crowns and bridges
- Look and function like natural teeth
- Improve speech and chewing comfort
- Boost self-confidence
Implants
are especially preferred by patients who are dissatisfied with removable
dentures or traditional bridges.
🔬 How is Implant Treatment Performed?
Implant
treatment is performed under local anesthesia or light
sedation for your comfort. Before the procedure, a detailed
clinical examination and X-rays are taken to assess bone structure and the
position of remaining teeth.
Implant Placement Methods:
- One-stage: The implant is placed and a healing cap is attached immediately.
- Two-stage: The implant is placed, covered with gum tissue, and left to heal. A healing cap is placed later.
In
both cases, a temporary prosthesis may be
placed. Healing usually takes:
- 3 months for the lower jaw
- 6 months for the upper jaw
In
selected cases, immediate loading
is possible—meaning a temporary tooth can be placed on the implant right away.
